Growing up in the Southeast, with older parents, my earliest exposure to music came from the timeless sounds of the "Greatest Generation"—The Four Seasons, The Righteous Brothers, Frank Sinatra, and Johnny Horton. Next came the surge of American country music in the ‘90s and 2000s, blasting from US 101 on the radio of a ’70s Chevy 454 Dually as it rumbled through the mountains of North Georgia, hauling firewood. When the signal faded, I tuned to Atlanta’s best, 99x, where I was pulled into the raw world of grunge, punk, and rock ‘n’ roll. I found myself on the bouncing floors of Masquerade Heaven, belting lyrics alongside strangers at The Tabernacle, and sunburned on the asphalt at Warped Tour, realizing that I didn’t care what genre a song belonged to—if it made me feel something, that was enough.
Experiencing the transformative energy of rock ‘n’ roll sparked my desire to create. I taught myself acoustic guitar and bass by playing along with my favorite CDs, determined to nail every chord, every movement. After a few months, I knew enough to start collaborating with other musicians. My first band practice was a revelation—what I thought was a love for music before paled in comparison to the exhilaration I felt in that studio apartment above a garage. It wasn’t just playing notes; it was about shared ideas, emotional expression, the nuances of instrument attack, and the swells of sound that seemed to channel something universal. In that moment, I knew: this was what I wanted to do with my life. From then on, I devoured everything "rock"—ignoring the barriers of sub-genres and divisions—and found value in all of it. Each style carried something to learn, something to feel, and those influences would eventually seep into my own playing and writing. The result? A sound that feels familiar yet hard to pin to any specific time or place.
As life moved on, the spontaneous jam sessions with friends became less frequent, and bands came and went, but my drive to make music never wavered. That persistence led me to pick up new instruments out of necessity, and in time, I developed a passion for recording and producing my own music. Fast forward to today—technology has advanced, and creating, recording, and sharing music is easier than ever. Yet, the same curiosity and hunger to explore sound that I had back then still burns inside me.
Though this project bears my name, my approach remains deeply collaborative, creative, and multimedia-focused. I welcome the opportunity to work with other artists, always seeking new ways to channel ideas and bring artistic visions to life
